Movie Review (Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls)

"Alrighty then.." is quite a strange catch phrase, but when Jim Carrey stars in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls it's almost a perfect fit... "Like a glove", even. Yes, Ace Ventura returns to his lifestyle, which is like the hard-core version of P.E.T.A.'s daily activities.
Ace Ventura is an eccentric animal lover, if you haven't seen the original. Jim Carrey goes out and makes a living by protecting, finding and saving animals, while at the same time solving the puzzle on the way. It's always some major crime... Of course, after all... He's Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
Jim Carrey plays this part inhumanely well and my reason for saying that is because Ace need an insane person to portray him and Jim Carrey knows insane, have you seen The Mask?
This movie is a a great comedy, even for kids, despite it's occasional over-the-top humor. It's funny, especially in a childish humor way. He climbs out of a rhino's.... well it's easier to say a family watches a "Rhino give birth to Ace" in this movie.
This movie, being a sequel, is rare for Jim Carrey's acting career to feature. Jim Carrey doesn't have any other sequels to his movies because he prefers to play new roles. He picked a good exception though. To make Ace Ventura unique was the best choice he could've made out of all of his movies. The sequel is even better than the first and that's the hardest goal to achieve in a sequel.
This movie has a slueth looking for clues and evidence, it has several bats, it has native tribes, and it even has reckless driving... This movie sounds like the result of Sherlock Holmes, Indiana Jones, Scooby-Doo and the Gang all being stirred together by a tribe of ritualistic savages on a Nascar track. This is the supernova that came from that, I guess.
